I’m Harry, I’m a…
…(mostly) non-fiction writer, director, and producer based in NYC.
For over a decade, I honed my storytelling sensibilities, first with Epic Magazine and more recently with Vox Media.
During my time with Epic, and then Vox, I helped build our nascent organization’s corporate storytelling wing. I led editorial teams of journalists, filmmakers, writers, and producers, helping define our team’s narrative voice and creative strategy. I traveled around the world to surface external stories that reflected brands’ spirit and ethos in a variety of industries from finance to green tech, social media, AI and more.
I've written long-form stories about queer bars with 50-year legacies and Tunisian revolutionaries; directed docs about cities being built from scratch, Kenyan entrepreneurs, and nonagenarian best friends; and written podcasts about game-changers, queer activists, and drug dealers.
Through storytelling, I’ve learned that I love discovering with someone the moments that shaped their passions; that I love recognizing how our shared humanity takes different forms across people and cultures; and that with each story I tell, I learn something new. Trite as it may sound, I’ve come to believe in storytelling’s ability to make change, in me and in others.
