Summary: After Noam Slonim’s sitcom was canceled, the down-and-out comedy writer decided to build an artificial intelligence that could argue with him. What begins as a quixotic obsession turns into a multi-million dollar, six-year research effort that culminates in a face-off with the world debating champion.

Role: I co-directed this film for IBM over the course of two years. It premiered at CPH:DOX film festival in Copenhagen, and was awarded ‘Best Corporate Brand Film’ at PRWeek's Brand Film Awards.

 

Summary: After a lifetime of struggling with itchy skin post-shower, Jessie decided to take matters into her own hands—teaching herself how to make goat milk soap. Today, she runs her own soap making business, and uses #SoapTok to connect other soap enthusiasts and customers, helping others to itch a little bit less (and smell a little bit better) along the way.

Role: This was one of two short documentary profiles I directed for TikTok’s ‘Sparks Good’ campaign, both of which were screened nationally as commercials throughout 2023.

 

Summary: Spencer still remembers showing up to first grade and feeling stupid because he didn’t know how read. After teaching his own son to read at 18 months, Spencer is on a mission to ensure that no child ever feels that way again—using TikTok to help parents teach their own toddlers to read.

Summary: Bette and Bonnie are not your average roommates. Both 95-years-old, the two ladies have been sharing a top floor, Brooklyn Heights apartment for 15 years now.

But this isn't the first time they've been roommates. After 70-plus years of friendship, living across the country and across the world, Bette and Bonnie recount how they decided to live together– again.

Role: I co-directed this short documentary. It was awarded ‘Programmer’s Choice’ at Bushwick Film Festival, and ‘Best Film’ at Brooklyn Women’s Film Festival.

 

Summary: Charity grew up in the Kenyan countryside. Now she’s singlehandedly making it easier for entrepreneurs in rural Kenya to start businesses, helping to improve Kenya’s World Bank, ‘Ease of Doing Business’ ranking along the way.

Role: I reported, pitched, and directed Charity’s short documentary for IBM.

 

Summary: As Lou prepares to go off to college, she and her grandmother raise funds for her education doing what they love most: growing (and selling) flowers.

Role: I directed this short documentary for Cub Cadet.

 

Summary: Ayesha is a brilliant young woman bringing light (literal and metaphorical) to future generations of aspiring female engineers in Pakistan

Role: I reported, pitched, and produced this short documentary for IBM, working with Oscar winner Orlando Von Einsiedel.
